Such dreamy portraits of certainly most beautiful models, all shot using a 50mm and endless creativity by Marta Bevacqua. She takes us through her emotions in this portfolio, sheer brilliance when it comes to choosing the right gentle expression, which stays very elegantly in the onlookers eyes. The processing doesn’t seem to be overdone here, very crafty and enriching the already existing beauty in all possible ways. Take a look and be inspired.
Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
I’m Marta, an Italian girl living in Paris right now. I started photography some years ago and immediately became my biggest passion. I’m lucky to define it as my job too right now.
I love reading, writing, going out with friends and listening to music. I love imagining new stories in my head.
Such a rich portfolio, full of distinct portraits rich in life and clear in emotions. How would you describe your style of photography?
Dreamy, storytelling, soft.
Could you brief us your processing style?
I work a lot before the shootings, developing the idea and thinking about all the details. I usually prepare a mood board, but not always. Sometimes i just have a mood board in my head. So the shoot itself is always very fast and short. I usually speak a bit with the models, inventing stories to let them go into the atmosphere. Then i work on post production, where i adjust colours, saturation and contrast.
Your gear?
Canon 5D Mark II with a 50 mm
What is that for Marta makes it the most important factor for a portrait?
Emotion. It has not to be real, it has to be somewhere, just for the viewers. and also stories, imaginary or real.
The style at which you have shot your portraits are very innovative and creative, how do you crack such ideas?
I take my inspiration everywhere. From the world in general, nature the most (a beautiful light, some details in the streets etc). Also from music, books and movies and of course, from other artists’ works, not only photographers.
Your future goals?
Traveling as much as possible, and working in different places of the world.
